What is trompe l'oeil?

Pronounced "tromp loy". It's French for "deceive the eye." The art of making a flat surface look so real, so dimensional, that your eyes can't quite settle: a trick artists have been pulling since ancient Greece and Rome, and a name the French made famous. Here the trick is the stitch: this replica of SAGA's winged logo is made with an embroidered effect, so it reads as raised thread. An optical illusion you can wear.
